The Puppetman is a convicted killer on death row. He has always maintained his innocence, proclaiming that an evil force overtook his body and forced him to slaughter his victims. When the people around Michal, the killer’s daughter, begin to die in brutal ways she questions if there are truths in her father’s claims. Now Michal must grapple with her own identity and struggles to discern fact from fiction as she races to unravel the enigma of the Puppetman’s curse before it claims the lives of everyone around her.

THE PUPPETMAN lives up to its hype, and while it relies heavily on character and mood to drive the story it also throws in inventive kills for good measure. Writer-director Brandon Christensen proclaimed: “THE PUPPETMAN harkens back to films like FINAL DESTINATION where you take a group of friends and exploit them for horrifying deaths. We had a ton of fun developing these characters and then taking everything, we know about them and turning it against themselves. While I’ve killed off characters before, it was nothing compared to the grotesque machinations that Shudder allowed us to do on THE PUPPETMAN.”

“A supernatural shocker that boasts some of the year’s most brutal moments in horror. Condenses an entire season of television into an hour-and-a-half feature.” Jonathan DeHaan Nightmare of Film Street
