Anna is struggling with grief over the loss of her best friend Izzy.  Booger, their street adopted cat disappears after biting her, and to make matters wors the wound will not to heal. Director Mary Dauterman’s feature debut, BOOGER, follows Anna as her grief drives her to focus on finding her and Izzy’s cat and every day, she feels stranger and stranger. She’s hungry for canned fish, she keeps swallowing her hair, and her predatory instincts are out of control.

Grace Glowicki’s performance as Anna and complete dive into the character drives Director Mary Dauterman’s body horror character study of dealing with grief. As Nick Allen from Rogert Ebert says “As Anna’s cat-like mannerisms kick in, Dauterman offers an array of fitfully trippy dream sequences comprising jarring cuts, foggy lenses, striking light color schemes, and impressive cat-adjacent prosthetics. It’s solid gross-out cat stuff that includes—and is as visceral as—a giant hairball.”

“It’s solid gross-out cat stuff that includes—and is as visceral as—a giant hairball. ‘Booger’ could stand to have more going on as a character study, but the movie does have promise for Dauterman’s animalistic cinema.” Nick Allen RogerEbert.com

“Booger feels like the indie body horror equivalent of Lars von Trier’s Melancholia, doing for grief what the latter did for depression” Alexandra Heller-Nicholas AWFJ.org

“Equally as funny as it is horrific, Booger is going to become an indie darling for film fans that are eager to find a new take on a well-worn path.” Spencer Perry ComicBook.com
