Synopsis
Max, a young record store clerk stumbles upon a rare vinyl LP. She tracks down the hippies behind the music, ends up invited to their commune, and I really don’t want to give away much more than that on this film!
Director and writer Christopher Bickel (The Theta Girl, Bad Girls) has found his horror groove in PATER NOSTER AND THE MISSION OF LIGHT. His latest film is, at turns, funny, trippy, endearing, disturbing and gory, and all on a micro budget. The film quickly draws you in with its laid-back record store friend’s atmosphere before throwing you into the terrifying reality of what’s really going on at the commune. It masterfully blends elements of spirituality, the supernatural, and psychological terror in the pursuit to find out who is the real Pater Noster (Our Father).

“You can see Tobe Hooper and the Texas Chainsaw Massacre here. You can see some Rosemary’s Baby mixed in with Friday the 13th, even a taste of Clerks (if unintentional).” Jasper Project
