A couple’s drive home turns into a nightmare when they hit something in the road.
Join us for the Saskatchewan theatrical premiere of Cold Wind Blowing.
Special guests, Dionne Copland and Louise Weard in attendance for Introduction and Q&A.
Shot in Southern Saskatchewan’s Cypress Hills the Cold Wind Blowing from Director and Writer Dionne Copland and Producer, Editor, and Cinemaphotographer Louise Weard focuses on siblings and their friends celebrating the holiday season in an isolated cabin. As past betrayals bring rise to conflicts the group must learn to survive the night as the group discovers they may not survive the night as they are not alone in the woods.
Led by a strong performance from actor Angela Ways as Nomi and a female focused script from Copland the story is driven by the challenges the friends face as much as from the monster lurking outside.
Be sure to keep a listen for a cameo by horror icon Larry Fessenden. Cold Wind Blowing has all the elements of a really solid micro-budget indie horror that thoroughly deserves to be seen.
“Inspiring and uplifting in equal amounts, Harvey and Kummer’s fangs-and-all documentary is, like its subject, one of a kind.” – Marc Savlov, Austin Chronicle
“By the triumphant curtain call, as young Scott trots onstage for a very professional bow in full Xenomorph garb, it’s clear “Alien on Stage” has completely captured the hearts of the audience – film, theater, and Christopher Guest lovers alike.” – Jude Dry, Indiewire
