DEATHGASM II: GOREMAGEDDON picks up years after the first film’s blood soaked finale, finding Brodie down on his luck—broke, broken-hearted, and stuck in a mundane town with nothing but memories of his metal past. When Brodie learns of a local battle of the bands, he sees a shot at redemption, as well as a chance to win back his ex, Medina. Sadly, most of his old bandmates are dead, and his drummer’s missing an arm. Undeterred, Brodie resorts to the dark powers of The Black Hymn to put the band back together, and accidentally rips open a portal to hell.

Under writer director Jason Lei Howden’s return, the sequel leans harder into gore,  absurdity, and sheer metal mayhem. Filmed in Regina with support from Creative Sask, the production took place last summer, bringing back original cast members and collaborating with local Saskatchewan film crews and production companies. You might even recognize a local pro wrestler or metal musician on the big screen in this one!
